# Alert types

> Launch vs Coin Mention, and every other signal XHuntr sends.

Not every alert means the same thing. The two coin alerts in particular are easy to confuse, and acting on one as if it were the other is the most common mistake new users make.

## Launch vs Coin Mention

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="🚀 Launch" icon="rocket">
    Likely their **own** coin — the coin traces back through its launch tweet to a community the KOL actually owns.

    **Rare. The strongest signal XHuntr produces.**
  </Card>

  <Card title="👁 Coin Mention" icon="eye">
    A new coin **links their name** via a profile or tweet. Could be them — or a copycat riding their name.

    **Common. Investigate before acting.**
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

How XHuntr decides which one you get:

```mermaid theme={null}
flowchart TD
    A["New coin detected referencing a tracked account"] --> B{"Does it trace to a community they OWN?"}
    B -->|Yes| C["🚀 Launch — high confidence it is theirs"]
    B -->|"No, just their name on a profile or tweet"| D["👁 Coin Mention — could be them, could be a copycat"]
    C --> E["Verify the contract, then decide"]
    D --> E
```

<Warning>
  Coin Mentions are frequently other people riding a KOL's name. Treat one as a prompt to investigate, never as confirmation the KOL is involved.
</Warning>

## Anatomy of a community alert

When a tracked account spins up a new community, the alert carries everything you need to judge it without leaving Telegram.

Reading it line by line:

| Line | What it tells you |
| ---------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 👤 **@Cented7**                    | Who moved. Taps through to their X profile.                                                          |
| 🎪 **Pippin Insiders** | The community name — often the ticker before there is a ticker. |
| 👥 **1 member · 🟢 Open** | Size and join policy. One member means you are genuinely first; 🟡 Request means approval is needed. |
| 📅 **Brand new** | Created moments ago, not discovered late. |
| ⚡ **alerted \< 5s after creation** | How far ahead of the crowd you are. |
| 🔗 **View Community** | Act without leaving Telegram. |

A **one-member, brand-new, openly joinable** community owned by a KOL you rate is the shape worth looking at fastest.

## What a contract-address alert looks like

```text theme={null}
🛰 @Cented7 posted a CA inside community
💬 🔗 Pippin Insiders
🪙 CA: FWuimB9mNPQCYKeKjtH11Wwqx5vKwVuz4FjVCAfNpump
💰 $384K · $0.00000384 · 📈 +12.4%
📊 DexScreener · ⚡ Trojan · 🟣 Axiom · 🔥 Pump.fun
```

The market line is market cap, price, and 24-hour change. Links go straight to DexScreener and the usual terminals — Photon and Bags are added when there is a pool for them.

<Note>
  If a post contains several addresses, XHuntr shows **one**: the confirmed token with the highest market cap, falling back to a pump.fun address that has not been indexed yet. A brand-new token with no market data shows the address without a market line — that means "not indexed yet", not "dead".
</Note>

## Every signal

| Alert | What happened | Why it matters |
| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| 🚨 **Created**        | The account launched a brand-new X community                           | Usually the earliest signal of a token or project |
| 👀 **Joined** | The account joined someone else's community | Affiliation, partnership, or stealth accumulation |
| 🪙 **Solana CA** | A contract address detected in a tweet, community name, or description | Something concrete to check |
| 📝 **Renamed**        | A community changed its name                                           | Often a rebrand immediately before a push         |
| 🔀 **Convergence** | Two or more accounts you track are now in the same community | Several people you rate arriving in one place |
| 📌 **Pin change** | A pinned tweet changed | The account is redirecting attention somewhere |
| 🗑 **Deleted / Left** | A community was deleted, or the account left it | Things disappearing is signal too |

Description and banner edits on a tracked account are reported as well. A KOL swapping their banner to a ticker is a move, and it usually happens before they say anything.

## Convergence is the one people underrate

🔀 **Convergence** fires when two or more accounts *you* track land in the same community. One KOL joining something is noise. Three of them arriving inside an hour is a room worth being in.

<Tip>
  This is why the free tier includes two slots rather than one — two tracked accounts is the minimum for Convergence to be able to fire at all.
</Tip>

## Community going dark

If a tracked account's community list stops being visible — privacy settings, a lock, a platform change — XHuntr tells you rather than going quiet. Silence that looks like "no activity" but is really "no visibility" is the failure mode this prevents.

<Note>
  **Every alert is a starting point, not a conclusion.** XHuntr tells you a KOL moved. It has no opinion on whether the coin is worth buying. Always DYOR.
