# FAQ and troubleshooting

> Common questions and what to do when something looks wrong.

## Alerts

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I added accounts and got nothing. Is it broken?">
    Almost certainly not. XHuntr alerts on **change** measured against the snapshot taken when you added the account. Their existing communities are the starting point, not news.

    You will hear from it the next time a tracked account actually moves. Quiet lists are normal — if a whole week passes with nothing, the more likely problem is *who* you are tracking. See [Track accounts](/tracking/add-accounts).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why did I get a Coin Mention for a coin the KOL has nothing to do with?">
    That is what a Coin Mention is. It fires when a new coin **links their name** — which anybody can do to anybody. It is a prompt to investigate, not evidence of involvement.

    The alert that implies ownership is 🚀 **Launch**. See [Alert types](/alerts/types).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Too many alerts">
    Open **⚙️ Settings** in `/menu` and switch off 📌 Pin change first, then 👀 Joined. Both are high-frequency. Keep 🚀 Launch and 🚨 Created on.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="An account was removed from my list without me doing it">
    XHuntr removes an account only when it no longer exists on X — deleted or suspended. You get a message with the handle. If the account comes back, re-add it with `/add`.
  </Accordion>

## Tracking

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="A KOL I track changed their handle. Do I lose them?">
    No. XHuntr identifies accounts by their permanent X ID, not their handle. A rename does not break tracking and does not drop them from your list.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I track private or locked accounts?">
    Partly. XHuntr can still monitor a locked account by ID, but how much of its community activity is visible depends on X. If a tracked account's communities stop being visible, XHuntr tells you rather than going silently quiet.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I removed someone by mistake and added them back">
    Adding them back takes a fresh baseline. You will not be alerted about anything that happened in the gap — only about what happens from now on.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Spy Account use a slot?">
    No. `/communities` is a live lookup on any X account and costs nothing from your plan.
  </Accordion>

## Plan and payment

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How much does it cost?">
    Send `/upgrade` — it quotes the live SOL price for weekly, monthly and yearly. Prices are not listed in these docs because they change without a release, and a stale number here would be worse than none.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Will I be charged again automatically?">
    No. There is no auto-renewal, no stored card, and no subscription to cancel. Every payment buys a fixed number of days and then ends.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I paid and my plan did not activate">
    Wait a few minutes, then check `/status`. If it still has not moved, contact support from the **Help** screen with your transaction signature — payments are verified on-chain, so a real transfer can be found and credited. Do not send a second payment first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to my accounts when my plan ends?">
    Accounts over the limit are **archived**, not deleted. Upgrade again and you can restore them instead of rebuilding your list from memory. See [Slots and limits](/tracking/slots).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I came back after a break and expected a pile of alerts">
    Deliberate. XHuntr re-snapshots your accounts and stays quiet for a short window before resuming, so you are not flooded with everything that happened while you were away.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Product

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need to connect a wallet?">
    No. XHuntr never connects to your wallet, never asks for a private key, and never holds funds. Paying is a plain SOL transfer that the bot verifies on-chain — or Telegram Stars, if you prefer not to touch a wallet at all.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is this financial advice?">
    No. XHuntr reports that a tracked account moved. It has no opinion on whether any coin is worth buying, and a Launch alert is not an endorsement. Always DYOR.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What languages does it speak?">
    English, Russian, Chinese and Portuguese. Switch with `/language`.
  </Accordion>

## Still stuck

Open **❓ Help** in `/menu` and tap **Contact Support**. Include what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead — and a transaction signature if it is about a payment.
